Job Introduction

Frequentis Group with headquarters in Vienna is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. Our Defence strategic business area offers customers systems and solutions for air traffic control and air defence applications as well as for civil emergency management systems.

Key Tasks

  • Implement and maintain automation solutions on different system environments.
  • Develop or adapt software tools and scripts to optimize system operations and delivery performance.
  • Integrate internal products and third-party components into complete, reliable operational solutions.
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve deployment issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with team members and relevant internal stakeholders to enhance system design, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements to systems, tools, and processes.
  • Create documentation and provide knowledge transfer or training as needed.

Key Qualifications

  • Completed technical education with a focus on IT or informatics
  • At least 3 years of experience in DevOps, system administration or software engineering roles
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
  • Strong background in automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Knowledge of operations systems (RedHat, Windows) and IT infrastructure (virtualization, containers).
  • Familiarity with system lifecycle management and requirements engineering.
  • Skilled in setting priorities and managing time effectively.
  • Self-organized, proactive, and structured working style
  • Willingness to travel 15-20%
