As an Automation Engineer specializing in Data Analytics and AI, you will play a key role in designing and delivering scalable manufacturing analytics solutions, with a primary focus on Large Molecules and support for other data-driven domains. In this hands-on position, you will manage development activities, ensure smooth operations, and drive continuous improvement across systems and processes. Working closely with cross-functional teams—including Architecture, Data Science, DevOps, Security, and Product Owners—you will contribute to innovative, industry-aligned solutions that create measurable business impact.
About The Role
Major Accountabilities:
- Design and develop modular, maintainable software solutions for Manufacturing and cross-functional initiatives.
- Participate in workshops, provide estimates, and propose solutions.
- Maintain code repositories, address bugs and security issues promptly.
- Apply and promote best practices in software development.
- Collaborate with teams across Security, Compliance, Engineering, and Product Management.
- Enable cloud-based data solutions for analytics and integrations.
- Support migration of manufacturing platforms to the cloud.
- Ensure solutions align with architecture, data strategy, and deliver business value.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field with a strong focus on IT/Data.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in customer-facing IT roles is a plus.
- Solid foundation in data engineering, including data management, data analysis, and backend system design.
- Hands-on experience with Data & Analytics solutions (descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive).
- Previous experience in manufacturing within the healthcare industry is a plus.
- Familiarity with D365 and experience driving AI/ML projects (including Generative AI) are desirable.

In accordance with Austrian law, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary as stated in the collective bargaining agreement. For this position the minimum salary is € 65.605,54 year (on a full-time basis). In most cases, the actual salary will be higher, as we strive to maintain a competitive position in the market and consider your previous experience, qualifications and individual competencies.
