Technical Lead

We’re looking for a Technical Lead to join our client’s mobile development team and guide the evolution of high-quality mobile applications for a large, public-facing user base. In this role, you will provide both strategic and technical leadership, ensuring that mobile solutions are scalable, performant and aligned with business and user needs.

Role Overview

As Technical Lead, you will steer the architectural direction of the mobile app ecosystem while coordinating a team of around ten developers. You will connect business goals with technical execution, define best practices, oversee code quality, and ensure that mobile applications remain robust, secure and user-centric. Your expertise in React Native and mobile engineering will be essential to the long-term success of the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the design, development and continuous improvement of cross-platform mobile applications.
• Define and maintain scalable, maintainable and secure mobile architectures.
• Lead and mentor the mobile development team, ensuring code quality, consistency and technical excellence.
• Collaborate closely with backend, UI/UX and QA teams to support a cohesive delivery process.
• Translate business requirements into clear technical solutions and architectural decisions.
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment workflows for mobile applications.
• Optimize performance, stability and scalability across a wide range of devices.
• Manage priorities, risks, timelines and stakeholder communication.
• Document technical decisions, evaluate trade-offs, and justify architectural choices.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Required Skills & Experience

• At least 8 years of professional experience in mobile application development, with strong specialization in React Native.
• Background in native development (Objective-C/Swift or Java/Kotlin) and native integration techniques.
• Experience designing scalable, maintainable mobile architectures.
• Proficiency in backend integration, APIs and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Firebase).
• Strong command of JavaScript/TypeScript, React Native, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Expertise in version control (Git), branching strategies and code review practices.
• Deep understanding of mobile CI/CD, automated testing and deployment processes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a mobile team and collaborate across multidisciplinary groups.
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban) with practical leadership responsibilities.
• Strong communication skills in English, capable of aligning technical and non-technical stakeholders.
