Job Description

The Senior Technical Software Engineer position is a crucial role within our technology team, responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining robust software solutions using JAVA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software engineering and a deep understanding of JAVA and its ecosystem. They will be instrumental in driving complex projects, ensuring that quality code is delivered on time and adheres to our high standards. The successful candidate will exhibit strong problem-solving skills, capable of addressing complex technical challenges, and a collaborative spirit to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including product management, UX/UI design, and QA. This role not only requires technical proficiency but also leadership capabilities to mentor junior engineers and drive innovation within the team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement software applications using JAVA technologies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability within cloud environments.
• Mentor junior developers, providing guidance on best practices in software development.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software applications as necessary.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and integrate them into company projects.
• Work closely with the QA team to manage the entire software development lifecycle.
• Ensure all software solutions are secure, stable, and meet regulatory compliance standards.
• Coordinate with project managers to deliver projects within stipulated timelines.
• Develop technical documentation to guide future development and maintenance activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• At least 7 years of professional experience in software development using JAVA.
• In-depth knowledge of the JAVA language, frameworks, and tools like Spring Boot.
• Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to address complex technical challenges.
• Experience with database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, and ORM frameworks.
• Proven expertise in building microservices and RESTful APIs using JAVA.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with experience in agile environments.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git and continuous integration pipelines.
