About The Role

As Sous Chef, you’ll be part of our talented kitchen leadership team, working closely with the

Executive Chef to guide and support the kitchen team. You’ll play a key role in developing and

executing our culinary concepts — ensuring that every dining experience, from breakfast and lunch

to à la carte and events, delights our guests and reflects Amerikalinjen’s high standards of quality,

creativity, and hospitality.

You’ll also be part of the hotel’s extended leadership team, collaborating with other department

heads to drive development, efficiency, and growth across Amerikalinjen.

Your Main Responsibilities

 Lead and support the kitchen team in daily operations

 Ensure high standards for taste, presentation, and overall guest experience

 Contribute to strategic menu development and seasonal concepts

 Oversee hygiene, safety and food control routines (HACCP)

 Train and motivate chefs, apprentices and kitchen staff

 Manage ordering, stock and cost control

Who You Are

 Several years of experience as a chef, including leadership responsibility

 Strategic mindset with a genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences

 Structured, dependable and solution-oriented

 Up to date on culinary trends and inspired by creativity

 Fluent in English; Scandinavian language is a plus
