The ideal candidate will be responsible for internal auditing as well as making recommendations to various business units & departments. This role will also act as an advisor to the business internally
Responsibilities
- Possess the ability to identify opportunities to improve business processes
- Perform operational, process, and financial reviews internally
- Audit internal processes and be able to suggest a course of action be suited to the business
- Identify risks and find solutions to mitigate risks and improve business controls
- Review and analyze large amounts of data pertaining to internal controls, cash flow, information security, health & safety, operations, and profitability
- Make recommendations for cost savings and process efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 2-4+ years of experience in an Auditor role; internal or external
- CPA or CIA is required; enrolment or designation
- Experience supporting various departments and management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in high-intensity, fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel for work (within Ontario)
