Job Description
We are seeking a visionary and experienced Director of Engineering to join our team at Swissotel Corniche Park Towers, Qatar. As a key member of our senior leadership, you will drive innovation, lead multiple engineering teams, and oversee critical projects that shape the future of our organization.
- Develop and execute strategic engineering initiatives aligned with organizational goals
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of engineering professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
- Oversee multiple complex engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and budget adherence
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development and process improvements
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to solve complex engineering challenges
- Manage departmental budgets and resources effectively
- Stay at the forefront of industry trends and emerging technologies
- Implement and maintain robust quality control processes and safety standards
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients and partners
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and methodologies
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil) or related field; advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) preferred
- 10+ years of progressive experience in engineering roles, including significant time in senior management positions
- Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale, complex engineering projects
- Strong technical knowledge across multiple engineering disciplines
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop talent
- Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills
- Superior communication and interpersonal abilities
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and execution
- Strong business acumen and financial management skills
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools
- In-depth understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices
- Ability to drive technological advancements and process improvements
- Passion for innovation and a commitment to continuous learning
- Experience working in a global, multicultural environment is a plus
