Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Doha, Qatar, for a Quantitative Analyst specializing in Financial Markets. The primary responsibilities include conducting in-depth financial and quantitative analyses, developing financial models, analyzing market trends, and supporting trading strategies.

Quantitative Analyst will join our Research & Development team to manage Market maker and Liquidity Providing . In this pivotal role, you will have a direct impact on investment decision-making by developing, modeling, and backtesting sophisticated algorithmic trading strategies. You will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment that combines mathematical depth with practical application in live markets.


 Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and develop new quantitative trading strategies using statistical and machine learning techniques.
  • Analyze large-scale financial datasets (prices, volumes, fundamental data, alternative data) to identify patterns and trading opportunities.
  • Optimize and enhance the performance of existing models based on market results.
  • Work closely with software developers to implement models into the live trading environment.
  • Monitor strategy performance and analyze the reasons for performance deviations.
  • Prepare detailed analytical reports on model performance and present recommendations to management.


Qualifications and Experience


1. Strong Mathematical & Statistical Foundations:

  · Advanced Statistics (regression, statistical testing, time series analysis).

  · Advanced Calculus.

  · Probability Theory.

  · Stochastic Calculus (a significant plus).

2. Programming & Development:

  · Mandatory proficiency in one of the following: Python (strongly preferred), R, or C++.

  · Experience with libraries for quantitative analysis (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Statsmodels).

  · Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.

  · Experience with databases and SQL.

3. Financial Knowledge:

  · Deep understanding of portfolio theory and risk management.

  · Knowledge of financial market mechanics (equities, bonds, derivatives, FX).

  · Understanding of derivative pricing models (e.g., Black-Scholes model) is a plus.

4. Soft Skills:

  · Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

  · Ability to work under pressure and tackle complex challenges.

  · Meticulous attention to detail.

  · Team spirit and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and business teams.

5. Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields:

 · Mathematics / Applied Mathematics

 · Physics

 · Engineering (, Computer)

 · Statistics

· Computer Science

6. Minimum 2 – 3 years of experience in finance environment , preferably within a brokerage or stock market
