Why this role matters

As a Data Engineer at Iute Group, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure.

You will work with modern data technologies to build scalable and efficient data pipelines, ensuring seamless data processing and transformation.

Your expertise will enable our teams to derive valuable insights and make data-driven decisions.

Reporting to our Engineering Manager, Data & Analytics, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize our data architecture and maintain high standards of data quality.

Your key responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain data systems and pipelines for scalable analytics.
  • Integrate and transform raw data from multiple internal and external sources.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all environments.
  • Develop and implement data models, data pipelines, and analytical tools to uncover trends and insights.
  • Support predictive and prescriptive modeling through advanced data preparation.
  • Identify opportunities for data acquisition, automation, and process optimization.
  • Collaborate with data architects, data scientists, and engineering teams to develop effective data solutions.

What we are looking for

  • Previous experience as a Data Engineer, ETL Developer, or in a similar data infrastructure role.
  • Technical expertise in data models, data mining, data warehousing, and segmentation techniques.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or Java for data pipeline development.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and relational database design.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a strong advantage.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field; a master’s is a plus.
  • Data engineering certification (e.g., Microsoft Azure Certified Data Engineer) is a plus.
  • Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools is an advantage.

Hiring process

Our hiring process is straightforward and transparent. It starts with a short screening call, where we get to know each other better and discuss your background. After that, you’ll have an interview with the Engineering Manager to talk through your experience and interests in more detail. Throughout the process, we keep communication clear and provide timely feedback so you always know where things stand.

Full-time, on-site in Tallinn, Estonia
