Software Engineer, Core Languages/Python

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
• Experience coding with C++, Python, and Go.
  
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with language infrastructure (e.g., linters, languages, build rules).
• Experience with Python internals like CPython and type checkers such as Pytype or Mypy.
• Open source experience (e.g. making pull requests on developer platforms).

Responsibilities

• Provide language availability and interact with fundamental production technologies and tooling support for our Python users.
• Assist Python users to build, optimize, and debug their lines of Python code at Google.
