About The Role

The Data Protection Officer (DPO) is responsible for ensuring that the organization processes personal data in compliance with applicable data protection laws and regulations (such as GDPR, CCPA, etc.). The DPO will serve as the primary point of contact for all data protection matters, providing guidance on compliance, managing data protection policies, and acting as liaison with regulatory authorities and data subjects.

Your Mission

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the organization’s data protection and privacy policies.
  • Monitor compliance with data protection laws and internal policies, conducting regular audits and assessments.
  • Advise management and employees on data protection obligations and best practices.
  • Serve as the contact point for data subjects and supervisory authorities regarding data protection issues.
  • Coordinate responses to data breaches and manage incident response procedures.
  • Maintain records of processing activities and ensure appropriate data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) are conducted.
  • Deliver training and awareness programs on data protection and privacy compliance.

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Information Security, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven experience in data protection, compliance, or information security roles.
  • Strong understanding of GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant privacy regulations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Certification such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or equivalent is an advantage.
