Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer (L3) to join our technical operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and troubleshooting complex enterprise network infrastructure. This role acts as the highest technical escalation point for network issues and works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure network reliability, security, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
1) Network Design & Architecture
2) Design and implement advanced network solutions for enterprise environments.
3) Lead network architecture improvements, capacity planning, and infrastructure upgrades.
4) Create and maintain high-level and low-level network diagrams and documentation.
Operations & Troubleshooting
1) Serve as the L3 escalation point for complex network incidents and major outages.
2) Perform advanced troubleshooting across routing, switching, wireless, VPN, and security technologies.
3) Analyze network performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend optimizations.
4) Conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) and create corrective action plans.
Configuration & Administration
1) Configure, deploy, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other network devices.
2) Manage enterprise routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IS-IS).
3) Oversee VLANs, STP, QoS, ACLs, WAN links, SD-WAN, and network segmentation.
4) Ensure network redundancy, failover, and high availability.
Security & Compliance
1) Implement and maintain network security standards and best practices.
2) Manage firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS systems, and security policies.
3) Conduct network audits, vulnerability assessments, and compliance checks.
Collaboration & Leadership
1) Guide and mentor L1/L2 engineers on technical tasks and troubleshooting.
2) Work with cross-functional teams (Server, Cloud, Security) to deliver end-to-end solutions.
3) Participate in planning meetings, change advisory boards (CAB), and technical discussions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
1) 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering.
2) Strong expertise with Cisco (or Juniper / Fortinet / Arista depending on your environment).
3) Deep knowledge of routing & switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, HSRP/VRRP).
4) Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPN technologies, load balancers, and WAN solutions.
5) Solid understanding of network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG, etc.).
6) Experience with SD-WAN, wireless networks, and network automation is a plus.
7) Ability to manage large-scale network infrastructures and complex environments.
8) Strong analysis, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Industry certifications such as:
1) CCNP / CCIE
2) JNCIP / JNCIE
3) Fortinet NSE 4–7
4) Aruba / CWNP
5) Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
6) Knowledge of scripting or automation tools (Python, Ansible).
7) Experience in ITIL environments (Incident, Change, Problem Management).
Work Environment & Expectations
1) Ability to work under pressure during critical outages and major incidents.
2) Participate in on-call rotation for high-priority escalation support.
3) Contribute to network roadmaps, improvement plans, and technology upgrades.
