A leading global technology consultancy is seeking experienced Java Developers to join their Glasgow engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on enterprise-scale cloud-native applications, leveraging modern Java frameworks alongside AWS and Kubernetes in a collaborative, office-based environment.

You'll be part of a high-performing team delivering mission-critical systems for blue-chip clients across Financial Services, Government, and Enterprise sectors.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java-based applications and microservices
• Build cloud-native solutions deployed on AWS infrastructure
• Implement containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes
• Develop RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices
• Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipeline integration

Core Java Development:

• Strong proficiency in Java 8+ (Java 11/17 preferred)
• Experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Data)
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles and design patterns
• Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
• Knowledge of testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, TestNG)

Cloud & Infrastructure:

• Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS)
• Strong Kubernetes experience (deployment, scaling, troubleshooting)
• Docker containerization and image management
• Understanding of cloud-native design patterns
