Job Description
As a Senior Android Engineer at Bilue, you’ll play a key role in crafting fast, reliable and beautifully designed Android experiences that people genuinely love to use. You’ll work closely with designers, backend engineers and product teams to bring bold ideas to life, turning client vision into elegant, scalable Android solutions.
You’ll help shape the technical direction of projects, contribute to best practices across the mobile team, and bring clarity and confidence to delivery. Your technical depth and craftsmanship will lift the quality of every project you touch.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain robust, high-performance Android applications
- Contribute to the technical direction, architecture and approach for Android features and projects
- Work collaboratively with clients to translate business needs into thoughtful technical outcomes
- Ensure seamless integration with APIs, cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines
- Continuously improve performance, reliability and code quality
- Champion modern Android frameworks, tools and architectural patterns
- Participate in code reviews, pairing and knowledge-sharing across the team
- Contribute actively to Bilue’s mobile community, helping uplift engineering practices and innovation
You’re an experienced Android Engineer with 6+ years of building high-quality, production-grade mobile apps. You’re hands-on, curious and always pushing for better solutions. You take pride in writing clean, scalable code and making decisions that balance craft, performance and long-term maintainability.
You thrive in an agile environment, you communicate clearly, and you naturally uplift the people around you through collaboration, guidance and technical influence. You bring calm confidence, strong attention to detail and a genuine passion for creating apps that feel fast, polished and reliable.
You’ll Bring
- Solid experience delivering Android apps at scale across multiple production environments
- Deep expertise in Kotlin and modern Android architecture (MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture)
- Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Flow, Hilt/Dagger, Room, WorkManager, Navigation
- A strong understanding of performance, concurrency and offline-first patterns
- Experience integrating with RESTful APIs, GraphQL and major cloud platforms (Firebase, AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Bitrise, Fastlane) and Play Store release processes
- A commitment to code quality through reviews, testing and automation
- An agile mindset, comfortable with estimation, sprint rhythms and continuous improvement
- A collaborative approach and willingness to mentor and support engineers when needed
- Engagement with the Android community, whether through open source, meetups or ongoing learning
- A passion for craftsmanship and building apps that people genuinely enjoy using
