Overview
Our enterprise client is seeking a highly skilled and self-sufficient Networking Contractor to support their team during a critical transition period. This role is designed to flex our existing resources and ensure continuity of service and support throughout the migration.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day operational support for our existing network infrastructure.
- Assist with troubleshooting, configuration, and maintenance of Cisco and Palo Alto networking equipment.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to support the migration of users and services.
- Patch into project workstreams as needed, including physical network setup, testing, and cutover activities.
- Ensure network security and performance standards are maintained throughout the transition.
- Document changes and contribute to knowledge transfer for permanent staff.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in networking roles.
- CCNA certification (or equivalent) required; CCNP or Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE a plus.
- Proven experience with Cisco networking technologies (switching, routing, wireless).
- Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls and security appliances.
- Solid understanding of network protocols, VLANs, VPNs, and access control.
- Experience in supporting network migrations or office relocations is a plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Cisco DNA Center / Catalyst Center for network automation, monitoring, and provisioning.
- Experience managing Cisco licensing via Cisco Smart Software Manager.
Contract Details
- On-site presence required in Dublin.
- Equipment provided as needed.
