The Role

  • Creating the tooling, automation, and documentation that accelerate the entire engineering team.
  • Contributing to core backend platform services written in Golang and gRPC.
  • Defining best practices in data modelling, testing, and CI/CD across the company.
  • Mentoring engineers and driving technical decisions that shape the platform’s future.
  • Developing secure cloud modules for enterprise customers to access their data safely.

You’ll Bring:

  • 4+ years of experience building and operating production-grade systems.
  • Strong background in data engineering or backend development, with interest in both.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks or Snowflake.
  • Strong Python and/or Golang skills.
  • Experience leading technical initiatives or mentoring teammates is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AWS and modern data tooling.

Tech Environment:

Golang, Python, Typescript, React, Next.js, gRPC, GraphQL, Databricks, Delta Lake, S3, dbt, PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB, MongoDB Atlas, Dagster, AWS (ECS, Lambda), Docker, Vercel, Datadog.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary
  • Paid lunch
  • Pension contribution
  • Mental well-being support through OpenUp
  • MacBook Pro 16”
  • Travel allowance
  • Annual learning budget
  • Work-from-home budget
  • Quarterly company events

A strong opportunity for an engineer who wants ownership, enjoys solving complex real-world problems, and is energised by building the data platform behind industry-shaping AI.
