We are seeking a highly motivated Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to join our client’s cybersecurity team. The selected professionals will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security threats across client environments. As the first line of defence, you will identify vulnerabilities, investigate incidents such as malware infections or data breaches, and lead containment and mitigation efforts.
This is a hybrid role, requiring on-site presence twice a week in Maia (Porto) to ensure close collaboration with technical teams and facilitate swift incident handling.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events across client networks and systems.
- Detect, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity threats, incidents, and vulnerabilities.
- Lead containment, remediation, and recovery actions in coordination with technical teams.
- Use SIEM, EDR, and other security tools to investigate suspicious activities.
- Produce incident reports, documentation, and recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive incident resolution.
- Maintain a proactive security posture and contribute to continuous improvement of SOC processes.
Mandatory Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience working as a Security Analyst in SOC services.
- Alternatively, 2–3 years of experience working as a security analyst within an internal corporate security team.
- 1–2 years of experience performing security analysis using Microsoft Sentinel or other SIEM/security analysis technologies.
- Hands-on experience navigating and operating CrowdStrike Falcon EDR or equivalent EDR tools.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
- Strong sense of ownership, initiative, and responsibility in managing and resolving security incidents.
Additional Requirements
- Candidates must provide their own laptop for service delivery.
Delivery Location
Maia (Porto), Portugal – with 2 on-site days per week.
