We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Lead Data Scientist to join our dynamic Data Science and Analytics team. This pivotal role will provide you the opportunity to lead a central team of Data Scientists and Analytics experts and innovate the way we use data every day

Job Description

This pivotal role will provide you the opportunity to lead a central team of Data Scientists and Analytics experts and innovate the way we use data every day
In This Role You Will
- Lead a centralized team of Data Scientists and Analytics experts.
- Act as the central contact point and escalation role within the IKEA Data Science/Analytics community.
- Facilitate continuous improvement, collaboration, and sharing of methodologies, tools, and knowledge across the Data Science community at IKEA.
- Provide technical leadership, fostering a supportive and collaborative culture within the Data & Analytics organization.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with various departments to understand stakeholder needs and develop strategic solutions.
- Ensure consistency through the support of relevant development techniques, digital frameworks, and best practices.
- Ensure insights and conclusions from data science are accessible to all parts of the organization.
- Promote and sustain a culture of data-driven decision-making throughout IKEA.
- Work closely with data scientists, data engineers, architects, analysts, and peers across IKEA.
- Remain up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in technology.
- Be hands-on in the delivery and development of Data Science/Data Analytics digital products, ensuring quality assurance and testing of deliverables.
To be successful in this role you will need to have
- Leadership and business development expertise in complex organizational settings, driving strategic goals forward.
- Deep and comprehensive knowledge of statistical and machine learning methodologies paired with advanced data management and visualization skills.
- Proficiency in understanding diverse data structures and employing common data transformation methods to extract and utilize meaningful insights.
- Skilled in programming languages, technologies, and frameworks such as Python, R, Julia, Stan, Tensorflow, Keras, Jupyter, Databricks, and cloud environments including Azure, AWS, and Google.
- Expertise in applying data modeling techniques and concepts, along with experience in distributed technologies and graph databases to enhance data analysis capabilities.
- Embrace and implement modern development practices such as Agile methodologies and DevOps culture to streamline workflow processes.
- Proficiency in leveraging a robust toolkit of languages, technologies, and frameworks: Databricks, Python, Pyspark, Tensorflow, Torch, Scikit-learn, PyMC, MLFlow, MLOps, Langchain, PowerBI, Plotly, and various Python libraries to innovate and optimize solutions
