Job Description
The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of web and software applications through systematic testing and process improvement.
This role involves designing and executing test plans, identifying and reporting defects, and collaborating closely with developers and product teams to deliver high-quality software products.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web and mobile applications.
- Perform manual and automated testing to identify and document software defects.
- Work with development teams to reproduce issues, verify fixes, and ensure product stability.
- Conduct regression testing, performance testing, and usability testing.
- Maintain detailed documentation of test results, defect reports, and quality metrics.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and best practices.
- Collaborate with product managers and developers to ensure product requirements are met.
- Participate in sprint planning and agile ceremonies to ensure testing coverage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of professional experience in software quality assurance or testing.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and bug tracking systems.
- Hands-on experience with manual testing tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Postman).
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of API testing and SQL for database validation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments is preferred.
