We’re looking for skilled Senior NOC Engineer experts to join our growing team. Be part of our team and help drive the future of AI and IT across the GCC.


About the Role


The Senior NOC Engineer is responsible for maintaining the operational stability, availability, and performance of national-scale digital platforms.

This unified role covers both mid-level operational duties and senior-level advanced troubleshooting, analysis, and technical leadership. The engineer acts as both L1 and L2, ensuring proactive monitoring and rapid incident response.


Key Responsibilities


1. Monitoring & Daily Operations

  • Perform real-time monitoring of applications, APIs, network devices, containers, databases, and integrations.
  • Conduct daily system health checks, capacity reviews, backup verification, certificate validity checks, and scheduled operational tasks.
  • Maintain dashboards and alerts across APM, SIEM, and NMS tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, OpenSearch, Kibana, Dynatrace, Elastic).
  • Identify anomalies, performance degradation, or early signs of service failure.


2. Incident Response (L1 + L2 Duties)

  • Act as the first responder for all production alerts and incidents.
  • Perform initial triage, log review, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Handle advanced incidents involving network flow, container behaviour, API latency, load balancers, and firewall behaviour.
  • Execute escalations to DevOps, Network, Security, DB, or Application teams when required.
  • Participate in major incident handling and coordinate during critical outages.


3. Problem Analysis & Root Cause Investigation

  • Perform a detailed investigation of recurring issues.
  • Analyse logs, traces, dashboards, and metrics to identify root causes.
  • Produce RCA reports and improvement recommendations.
  • Support continuous improvement by optimising configurations and reducing noise in alerting systems.


4. Operational Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Document incidents, resolutions, steps taken, and lessons learned.
  • Provide shift handover notes, daily summaries, and weekly operational reports.
  • Ensure all activities conform to ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change).


5. Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with DevOps, Network, Security, Database, and Application teams.
  • Support system deployments, production releases, DR drills, and maintenance activities.
  • Assist in onboarding new systems to ensure monitoring readiness and alerting standards.


6. Proactive Optimisation

  • Tune alert thresholds, dashboards, and monitoring rules to improve accuracy.
  • Suggest improvements for HA/DR, performance, scalability, and resilience.
  • Recommend automation and AIOps enhancements where applicable.
  • Participate in capacity planning and performance assessment exercises.


Required Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, VPNs, routing basics.
  • Hands-on Linux administration (log analysis, shell scripting, system services).
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, containers, pods, services, and cluster behavior.
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Zabbix, Dynatrace, Elastic, Kibana).
  • Basic knowledge of firewalls, WAF, SSL/TLS, API gateways.
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting tools (curl, tcpdump, Wireshark).
  • Ability to read app logs, analyze latency, and interpret service metrics.

  • Strong sense of ownership and responsibility for service uptime.
  • Ability to work under pressure during national-level incidents.
  • Clear communication and reporting skills.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented approach.
  • Team player with mentoring capability.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in IT, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 4–7 years of experience in NOC, operations, or infrastructure support.
  • Preferred certifications: CCNA/CCNP, RHCSA, AWS/Azure Associate.
