What you will do:

We require a portfolio submission with your application. Please include samples that demonstrate and highlight your creative range, technical design craft, and experience across relevant projects.

The ideal candidate will combine user-centered design thinking with business acumen: they will understand both how users engage with products, and how design decisions connect to business outcomes. In this role you will collaborate closely with product management, engineering, UX research, marketing and other cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver exceptional product experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design process (from discovery through launch and iteration) for one or more product features or areas: define user/market problems → ideate solutions → prototype → test → refine → hand-off to engineering. Delivering cohesive and intuitive digital experiences for the guest.
  • Conduct and partner on user research and usability testing, synthesising insights into user journeys, personas, pain-points and opportunities
  • Create wireframes, high-fidelity mock-ups, interactive prototypes, design systems and visual specifications that clearly communicate design intent to stakeholders and engineering.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers to align designs with product strategy, business goals, and metrics; ensure design decisions are informed by both user needs and business impact.
  • Work with engineering teams to ensure that designs are feasible, high-quality, scalable and consistently implemented. Provide feedback on development execution from a design perspective.

Education & Certification

  • BA, MA or equivalent in a human behavior related field, such as human-computer interaction, communication, computer science or media studies

Experience

  • 2+ years industry experience
  • Proven track record of designing and launching successful product features or full products, with measurable outcomes (e.g., increased engagement, improved conversion, reduced friction).
  • Experience working in a cross-functional product team (product management, engineering, research, marketing) in an agile / iterative environment.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design work: research → ideation → prototypes → release; showcasing interaction design, visual design, responsive design, and data-driven design decisions.
  • Preferably experience with design systems, component libraries, and scaling design across multiple product areas or platforms.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Human-centred design principles and usability heuristics.
  • Visual design, typography, layout, colour theory, and interaction design.
  • Knowledge of responsive design and designing for multiple devices and platforms
  • Familiarity with design systems and component-based design approaches
  • Accessibility standards (WCAG), responsive design, and inclusive design approaches.
