Description
BDO is a leading accountancy and business advisory firm working with high-growth, entrepreneurial organisations across the UK. The Digital Services team supports clients in managing technology and cyber risks through modern methodologies, specialist knowledge, and practical governance frameworks.
BDO Digital is hiring a Cyber Governance Junior Analyst to support the Cyber Governance team in assessing risks, evaluating controls, and contributing to governance activities across a wide range of clients. This role is suited to early-career candidates with a strong interest in cyber security and a desire to develop in a governance, risk, and compliance environment.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Support cyber governance assessments and risk reviews
- Assist in evaluating controls and producing structured recommendations
- Analyse risks and help develop mitigation approaches
- Contribute to documentation, reporting, and governance activities
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across Digital Services
- Support client-focused work with accuracy, attention to detail, and strong communication
- Build knowledge of cyber frameworks including NIST, CIS, and ISO 27001
Requirements
Candidates should have:
- A degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret risks and propose solutions
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Familiarity with cyber security governance frameworks and standards
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A genuine interest in cyber security and governance
