What You’ll Work On

You’ll take ownership of a deeply complex, metadata-driven backend platform — solving large, interesting engineering problems that genuinely move the needle for customers.

Expect to be involved in:

• Designing and improving backend architecture
• Introducing engineering best practices and new ways of working
• Helping scale a maturing platform and development function
• Building new features across Java, Groovy, Spring/Guice, JPA/Hibernate
• Collaborating with senior engineers, product owners, and principal engineers
• Mentoring mid-level devs and influencing broader engineering culture

This isn’t a BAU or feature-factory role — you’ll be joining during a major uplift in platform capability, engineering maturity, and innovation.

About You

You’re someone who enjoys the hard problems and wants more than just building UI components. You love getting into the “why” behind the system, understanding how everything connects, and making things better — technically and culturally.

You’ll thrive here if you:

• Have 5+ years’ Java experience, including 2+ at Senior/Lead level
• Enjoy complex backend engineering and large-scale system design
• Are highly curious and love unpacking how systems work
• Can mentor others and act as a role model for engineering excellence
• Are comfortable influencing, collaborating, and introducing improvements
• Want to join a team where your voice genuinely matters
