Profectus is an Australian technology and professional services organisation delivering secure, scalable, and innovative ICT solutions across government and critical infrastructure sectors. With a strong record of supporting Defence digital transformation programs, we are looking to expand our service offerings further within AWS.

We are seeking professionals across a range of AWS-aligned specialisations, including:

• AWS Cloud Architects – secure solution design, multi-account architecture, and CAF landing zone implementation.
• DevOps / Automation Engineers – infrastructure as code (IaC), CI/CD, and container orchestration.
• Cloud Security Specialists – AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, WAF, Shield, and Zero Trust operations.
• Platform / Infrastructure Engineers – EC2, VPC, Route 53, RDS, S3, and hybrid connectivity.
• Data & Integration Engineers – Lambda, Glue, Redshift, API Gateway, and cross-domain data management.
• Service Delivery & Support Specialists – ITIL-based operations, patching, and incident response in secure AWS environments.

Key Competencies & Skills

AWS Cloud Architecture & Implementation

Design, deploy, and manage secure multi-account environments aligned with Defence Cloud and Hosting Certification frameworks.

Security & Compliance

Implement ISM, PSPF, and Essential Eight controls through AWS native tools - GuardDuty, Security Hub, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, KMS, Config, and Inspector.

Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Proficiency with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and automation scripting in Bash, Python, or PowerShell to streamline provisioning and configuration.

DevOps Practices

Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using CodePipeline, GitLab, or Jenkins; automate deployments across multiple environments.

Networking & Connectivity

Configure VPCs, Transit Gateway, VPN, Direct Connect, PrivateLink, and hybrid network architectures to connect on-prem and cloud securely.

Monitoring & Optimisation

Use CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Cost Explorer for operational visibility and FinOps optimisation.

Data Management & Storage

Implement scalable storage and data solutions via S3, EFS, and Glacier; secure and replicate classified data across regions and enclaves.

Documentation & Governance

Develop HLD/LLD documentation, standard operating procedures, and configuration baselines aligned with Defence governance requirements.

Service Management & Stakeholder Engagement

Apply ITIL frameworks for service transition, incident response, and continuous improvement within classified environments.

Qualifications & Certifications

Highly Regarded Certifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional
• AWS Certified Security – Specialty
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
• AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate
• CompTIA Security+ or CISSP (advantageous)
• ITIL v3/v4 Foundation
• Microsoft Azure or VMware cross-cloud certification

Essential Requirements

• Current NV2 Security Clearance (minimum)
• Demonstrated experience delivering AWS or hybrid cloud solutions within Defence or Federal Government environments
• Strong understanding of ISM, PSPF, and Essential Eight compliance frameworks
