As a Software Engineer at mySugr, you’ll work on a product that helps people with the most precious thing they have — their health. In collaborative teams of developers, architects, product owners, and QA experts, you’ll experience best-in-class software development practices on a daily basis and contribute to software that meets the highest expectations — we do not put our users' lives at risk!
We are looking for experienced, motivated Backend Software Engineers who will work closely with their Backend colleagues, as well as support our product teams. You will contribute with your knowledge of Java, Spring, Hibernate, relational databases & REST within our agile and cross-functional teams. As a flexible and open-minded person with a passion for clean code you will be a perfect addition to our team. Essential skills for this mission:
In Austria, we have a legal obligation to disclose the minimum salary according to our collective agreement, which is gross EUR 3.843 - per month for this position. But! Essential skills for this mission:
- You enjoy developing clean, stable, testable and performant backend code, serving our beautiful mobile applications
- You have at least 3 years of experience working as a Software Engineer
- You have at least 2 years of full-time experience as a Backend Engineer
- You love working in and supporting an interdisciplinary team, together with architects, frontend engineers, QAs, and product owners
- You are passionate about solid technical design, clean code and future-proof architectures
- You are familiar with Java 17+ and frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, or JAX-RS
- You have experience with SQL and relational databases like PostgreSQL
- You have experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or any other cloud provider
- You want to learn new technologies and are able to adopt them quickly
- Great written and verbal communication in English
- You are either an EU citizen or hold a valid work permit
- Experience with medical, security, and privacy regulations
- Knowledge of the diabetes industry or other comparable health industries
- Experience working in agile environments
- Ambitious and passionate people building meaningful products
