Our client, a pioneering technology company headquartered in Ghent, is seeking a skilled PHP Backend Developer to join their dynamic team. They specialize in developing advanced software solutions, focusing on innovation and cutting-edge technologies. As part of their expansion, they are looking for a team member to contribute to one of their ongoing complex projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct functional analysis of components, defining their scope and technical specifications.
  • Research, develop, implement, and maintain new software code for our client's products.
  • Collaborate closely with Project and Product Managers to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Work independently and in agile teams during the development and implementation phases.
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in the field.


Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in PHP development with experience in delivering successful projects.
  • Hands-on experience and good knowledge of frameworks such as Symfony, doctrine ORM, RabbitMQ, supervisord, etc.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes and GIT version control.
  • Interest in working with modern technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, protobuf/flatbuffers, Elasticsearch, and Kafka.
  • Knowledge of protocols such as REST and websockets is a plus.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new languages and technologies.
  • Excellent teamwork and knowledge-sharing skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a goal-oriented mindset.
  • Enthusiasm for acquiring new skills and a positive learning attitude.


Next to this fluency in Dutch (and English) is required.
