Loop Earplugs is reinventing how people experience the world by enabling them to live life at their own volume. 2024 was a pivotal year at Loop – we hit 14,000,000 earplugs sold, were named ‘The Best Earplugs for Concerts’ by The New York Times, and expanded our product offering to a complete range of solutions for day and night. Oh – and not to mention making history as the first company to win Deloitte’s Fast 50 Belgium twice.
But this is just the beginning. As we continue to develop disruptive products, we’re constantly on the lookout for the next big idea - and building a team who can make it happen.
Being a Looper means making a difference. Whatever your role, this is your stage to make a real impact and bring your ideas to life. Better yet, you’ll join a fast-growing, global team of 250+ people who are passionate, down-to-earth and eager to tackle challenges together.
0–2 years coding and integration experience | Hybrid | Antwerp or Amsterdam
Start your data engineering journey in a role that gives you more than just training. At Loop, you’ll work hands-on from day one, helping automate and scale the data systems that power our business — starting with SAP integrations, and expanding into broader engineering challenges. This role is built for someone who wants to learn quickly, take ownership of small projects, and see the direct results of their work. You’ll be supported and mentored, but also expected to step up, speak up, and stay curious.
As a Junior Data Engineer, you'll improve reliability, automate flows, and grow into complex systems.
Your first months will focus on supporting our SAP integration landscape by writing scripts, troubleshooting issues, and validating data flows. You’ll build basic monitoring and error handling to make things more reliable and transparent. Over time, you’ll take on broader responsibilities across our data engineering stack — from building internal tools and APIs, to preparing clean, well-modeled data that fuels analytics and AI use cases. You’ll be learning constantly, with the freedom to ship improvements that matter.
Your other responsibilities:
- Write and maintain scripts for extracting and transforming data
- Build basic monitoring for reliability and alerting
- Document your work clearly to support knowledge sharing
- Help improve the performance and accuracy of our data pipelines
- Contribute to tools that support automation and cost-saving initiatives
You don’t need deep experience to thrive in this role — you need the mindset of an engineer. You’re curious by default and driven to figure things out. You ask questions when you’re stuck, but you take initiative when you can move forward. You enjoy writing clean, structured code, and you document your work so others can build on it. You treat small problems like learning opportunities and know how to get things done even when the path isn’t clear.
These key competences will set you up for success:
- Comfortable with a programming language used in data or integration contexts (e.g. Python, SQL, or similar)
- Able to show something you’ve built (e.g. GitHub project, coursework, or personal project)
- Familiar with common data formats (e.g. CSV, JSON)
- Bonus if you’ve worked with tools like Jupyter, dbt, Dagster, Docker, or Snowflake
- Bonus if you know the basics of data modeling or have touched SAP or cloud platforms
- Our culture? We’re all about enabling growth by giving our team full autonomy to manage their own projects, be a thought leader, and truly make an impact on the company.
- We take care of our people. So, we pay them what they’re worth. We benchmark each salary extensively against local market data.
- Flexibility: For us, hybrid and flexible working is all about trust. And we trust you to get on with your job, so there’ll be no micromanaging or peeking over your shoulder from us.
- Benefits: Our benefits are all aimed towards looking after your health, and enabling you to live life to the fullest. So everything from health insurance and retirement savings to the latest tools is covered.
Loop is an equal opportunities employer. We invest in diversity, ensure equality and encourage expression. We have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, bias or discrimination towards applicants and employees.
Live life at your volume. 🎶 We'll take care of your ears.
