We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Data professional to deliver first-line support, user enablement, and operational coordination across several modern data & analytics platforms. The role focuses on ensuring smooth platform usage, efficient data handling, high-quality governance, and continuous knowledge development for internal users.
User Support & Issue Resolution
Serve as the first point of contact for users working on advanced analytics platforms.
Handle basic questions, guide users through standard workflows, and ensure correct platform usage.
Create and escalate support tickets when issues require specialist or engineering intervention.
Provide functional support related to Spark, Python, R, notebooks, and compute environments.
Execute data transfers between analytics environments upon user request.
Coordinate and escalate all access-related topics with the relevant IT and security teams.
Manage permissions for shared datasets, notebooks, and analytical workspaces.
Monitor resource consumption (compute, storage, workloads) and proactively report usage anomalies.
Support overall capacity planning, helping to maintain stable and performant environments.
Produce documentation such as FAQs, troubleshooting guides, and step-by-step tutorials.
Update and improve training materials for internal users.
Organise and deliver training sessions, onboarding workshops, and refreshers for analytics tools.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of user enablement processes.
Hands-on experience with at least one major data/analytics platform (e.g. notebook environments, data lakehouse systems, or compute clusters).
Familiarity with Spark concepts (clusters, jobs, execution errors).
Understanding of Python and/or R in a data/analytics context (no development required).
Knowledge of data transfer mechanisms and interoperability between analytics environments.
Ability to navigate dashboards for resource monitoring, workload status, and capacity tracking.
Experience using ticketing tools and structured escalation workflows.
Strong communication skills with the ability to guide and support non-expert users.
Capability to triage technical issues and distinguish between functional and engineering topics.
Experience producing documentation, training content, and user onboarding materials.
High attention to compliance, permissions, and data governance.
Flexibility to work across multiple platforms and adapt to varied analytical use cases.
