My Client ; a leading Irish FMCG Organisation based in the Munster are now looking for an ambitious New Product Development Manager to join the Business. My Client operate within the Private Label area and are the leading company in its category !. With over 100 people in Head Office; they have experienced strong growth but as important is their strategy/ aim to double in size in the next 5 years ! as they move into a new category- Trust me ,It will be an exciting time to join the Business!
Aside from their success and ambitious growth plans, I know they are a good company to work for- they have a genuine and collaborative culture and also have an open hybrid / remote policy but you must be based in Ireland- and its essential that everyone rows in together.Martin– the Commercial Director- leads by example and he said “Denis I am looking for someone who is comfortable with autonomy -In this role, the NPD Manager will work the price book; partner with our Brand Partners ; work closely and collaborate with stakeholders – in particular commercial and Warehousing- and be that essential ‘ gatekeeper ‘- and crucially assess margin structure; the price point and not be afraid to voice their own opinion whilst listening to others. As you know Denis; we have a solid team in place here- mix of some people who have been here a long time and some recent additions- and you must have a personable approach and be able to get buy in from others- Targets are fair and attainable and I am looking for someone who can take hold of the role and make it their own.”

NB- This is hybrid role with 2 days in the office ; 3 based at home- it comes with an attractive Renumeration package – For this position, please only apply to the role if you have FMCG experience and it would be highly advantageous if you have a Healthy Foods background/ know the healthy foods space and this will also be a hybrid/ predominantly remote role.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership and drive product agenda, with the Commercial , Quality and Warehouse teams.
- Consistently analyse price book data; margin structure ensuring that NPD is aligned with Commercial agenda.
- Complete regular one to ones with various stakeholders are aligned to the business & group strategy.
- Collaboratively work the Management team in creating customer roadmaps making sure they are aligned to trends and capabilities.
- Lead strategic partnerships with brand partners to leverage innovation and optimize supply chain.
- Deliver against budgets and agreed timelines set by the business that contribute to sales/ group objectives.
- Support customer facing teams for all enquires concerning the products you're working on, keeping them informed of any outcomes and making sure that all their needs are met.
- Work closely with production and quality departments in New Product Development;Delivery of NPD to your own accounts immediately after launch.
- Manage R&D budgets, project timelines, and resource allocation effectively
Key Skills and Experience
- 3- 5years’ experience in a new product development or indeed supply chain role role is must and a Healthy Foods background / experience will have a distinct advantage.
- Ability to manage numerous stakeholders is key so excellent interpersonal and clear communication skills are essential.
- Strong numeric & commercial acumen and proficient IT skills-also important.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative ; strong project management skills and a genuine enthusiasm for making an impact is also essential.
