About the job

We are looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer to join our team and help build, automate and maintain our infrastructure in a scalable and secure way.



What you will be doing:

  • Help design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or similar) for building, testing and deploying applications.
  • Create, manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS/GCP), following security and cost-optimization best practices.
  • Work with containerization and, ideally, orchestration (Kubernetes or similar) for service deployment.
  • Implement and maintain monitoring and observability solutions (e.g. Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, etc.), helping define metrics, dashboards and alerts.
  • Use Terraform for provisioning and managing infrastructure resources.
  • Develop small automation scripts in Python (or similar languages) to simplify operational tasks and integrate systems.
  • Collaborate with the development team to improve the reliability, performance and security of applications in production.
  • Contribute to the documentation of processes, pipelines, architectures and DevOps best practices.




What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field;
  • At least one year of experience in roles related to DevOps, Cloud, SRE or similar (or strong relevant academic/personal projects).
  • Basic knowledge of Cloud Computing, preferably Microsoft Azure (e.g. App Services, VMs, Storage, Networking, Resource Groups, etc.); experience with AWS or GCP is a plus.
  • Understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience with pipeline tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
  • Experience with Docker (building images, using Dockerfiles, docker-compose, managing containers).
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging; hands-on experience with Grafana (or similar tools) is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of Infrastructure as Code, ideally with Terraform (modules, state, backends, etc.).
  • Basic Python skills for scripting and automation (e.g. scripts for API integrations, maintenance tasks, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of fundamentals concepts: networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP), operating systems (Linux), Git and version control.
  • Automation mindset and a drive for continuous improvement: you enjoy solving problems in a systematic way and reducing repetitive manual work.
  • Ability to work in a team, eagerness to learn, openness to feedback and to grow in a dynamic environment.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken;

Location:

We’re based in Porto, Portugal. Although there is the possibility of remote working, we are only considering candidates located in Portugal
