What will you do as a C++ Software Engineer?

As a C++ Software Engineer, you’ll be part of a multidisciplinary Scrum team, contributing to the full development cycle — from concept to deployment — and supporting customers with real operational challenges.

Your responsibilities include:

• Design & Estimation: Translate requirements into technical designs and time estimates.
• Build & Extend Software: Develop and enhance high-performance applications using C++.
• Review & Test: Perform code reviews and execute software tests to ensure quality and maintainability.
• Customer Support: Troubleshoot and solve issues in collaboration with Product Support — remotely or occasionally on board a vessel.

What do we expect from you?

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Experience with C++ (experience with C, C# or other languages is a plus)
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Design, software architecture, and modern development practices
• Experience with tools such as Visual Studio, Git/TFS, and CI/CD pipelines
• A structured and quality-driven way of working
• Proactive and collaborative mindset — you enjoy working in Scrum
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch (written & verbal)
