About The Role

Kaseya is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our R&D team building and maintaining our Backup product. This role goes beyond typical web development: our team develops components in Go or PHP (experience in either is sufficient) and manages infrastructure in public cloud environments and Ubuntu Linux systems.

You’ll work on high-performance backup systems that require reliability and scalability, while also eliminating infrastructure blockers and ensuring smooth deployments.

We're Looking for Someone With:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field
5+ years of experience in software engineering
Backend development experience with Go or PHP (either is sufficient)
Hands-on experience with any major public cloud platform (Azure, AWS, GCP)
Experience using Terraform (or similar IaC tools) for cloud infrastructure provisioning
Experience with containerization (Docker), Kubernetes orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines
Strong understanding of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, routing)
English at B2 level for daily communication and documentation

Nice to Have:

Strong understanding of Linux/Ubuntu environments
Familiarity with ZFS filesystem and storage concepts
Experience with SQL databases (MySQL or similar)
Knowledge of design patterns, data structures, and algorithms in real-world use

What You’ll Do:

Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable, and performant services and CLI tools
Manage infrastructure in public cloud environments
Resolve infrastructure blockers and ensure smooth deployments
Drive and uphold best practices in code quality, security, performance, and maintainability
Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and mentoring within the engineering team
