Role Description

This is a hybrid role (2 days on site, 3 remote) for a Junior PHP Developer working from our offices in Leeds. As a Junior PHP Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining backend software applications and APIs. You will collaborate with various teams to deliver seamless web functionality, contribute to front-end integration when needed, and follow object-oriented programming principles for scalable development. You will also assist with troubleshooting and optimizing system performance to maintain a high standard of software quality.

You will primarily working with PHP applications hosted in an AWS environment using build pipelines for software updates and terraform for infrastructure management.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• One or more years experience working in a PHP role
• Basic understanding of Front-End Development principles
• Skills in Software Development and Programming
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Familiarity with PHP frameworks like Laravel or Symfony
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Knowledge of AWS / cloud hosting principles and if possible - some exposure to AWS services
