What to Expect:
As an eBusiness Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for data modeling, translating data into actionable intelligence, play a lead role in business review and promotional analysis/evaluations within the Pureplay team to drive key performance indicators and optimize investment.
A day in the life:
- Be proficient at building complex models to assess operational opportunities and drive implementation cross functionally. Leverage diverse technology platforms to refine and automate data sources, harmonize data points, and model "what if" scenarios that can be used to evaluate and predict the impact to performance.
- Harmonize and make sense of disparate datasets to determine business and operational trends and drive action. The ability to analyze unstructured data, form relationships, and provide insights into key elements for various levels of the organization is crucial to success.
- Clearly communicate insights in context, translate data into visualizations that aid decision-making, demonstrate business insight, and align with business priorities.
- Play a key supportive role in building the annual business plan based upon analytical review of historical and competitive data and strategic direction for the category, brand, and customer.
- Provides input to support Trade Spend management
- Provide analyses of promotional performance to drive future decision-making and support development of optimal promotion and media calendar
- Be the liaison in communication between cross functional groups internally focusing on Customer Insights, Trade Development (i.e., new item launches, seasonal opportunities), Sales Finance, Supply chain etc.
- Manage and develop customer administration: Contracts, New Product Forms, Pricing Adjustments, Customer Listing Base / Distribution. Additional support as required on an ad-hoc basis within the Customer Business Team
- Hold a university degree or have equivalent experience in a Business-related field
- Minimum of 2-3 years of business intelligence experience supporting CPG sales team(s).
- Experience working in an analytic or category management role with Amazon and other digital retailers (i.e., Walmart, Loblaws and/or Viola).
- Must have advanced proficiency with Amazon Vendor Central
- Experience with Power BI (or comparable platform) is required, including visualization, parameters, report optimization, creating measures, modelling, reports/dashboards, and dataflows. Experience in the Power Platform is preferred (Power Automate, Power Apps).
- Have some experience in the extraction and analysis with Nielsen.
- Ability to look at the data trends and recommend solutions that tie together a business problem and technology solution that may not have a clearly defined relationship or organizationally paved path to create revenue and reduce loss.
- Ability to develop selling story/recommendations as output of analysis.
- Have financial acumen and an understanding of P&L drivers.
- Ability to work on several large projects at one time, with many data streams and deadlines. Being able to balance work and prioritize effectively are crucial to the job.
