DevSecOps Lead

Overview

We are seeking an experienced DevSecOps & Cloud Modernization Lead to drive enterprise-wide modernization initiatives, uplift engineering capabilities, and guide teams toward secure, scalable, and automated cloud operations. This role blends strategic advisory, hands-on technical enablement, and cross-functional leadership to help the organization mature its cloud and DevSecOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Advisory

• Provide expert guidance on DevSecOps, cloud infrastructure, and modernization best practices.
• Influence architecture decisions and ensure alignment with enterprise security, compliance, and operational standards.

Discovery & Planning

• Assess existing delivery pipelines, cloud environments, and operational processes.
• Develop modernization roadmaps, migration plans, and capability uplift frameworks.

Stakeholder Management

• Present solutions, architectural recommendations, and business value propositions to senior stakeholders.
• Collaborate effectively with engineering, security, and operations teams to ensure adoption of recommended practices.

Team Leadership & Enablement

• Mentor members of the Center of Excellence (CoE) and engineering teams across departments.
• Lead workshops, technical coaching sessions, and implementation clinics to drive best-practice adoption.

Hands-on Implementation

• Conduct technical enablement workshops on DevSecOps, CI/CD, IaC, and containerization.
• Assist teams in onboarding to new tools, pipelines, and cloud-native operational models.

Key Initiatives

• CI/CD Migration: Lead the transition from Jenkins to Azure DevOps pipelines, ensuring improved reliability, security, and observability.
• Operational Independence: Design and implement self-sufficient operational models that empower teams to manage and support their own workloads.
• Infrastructure Assessment: Evaluate Azure cloud environments for improvements in security, cost optimization, performance, and scalability.
• Shared Assets Development: Build reusable CI/CD templates, Terraform modules, and toolkits for organization-wide adoption.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Expertise

• Strong proficiency in Azure DevOps, Terraform, Kubernetes, and cloud networking across Azure and/or AWS.
• Deep understanding of DevSecOps principles, secure cloud architecture, IaC, and automated deployments.
• Experience with Day-2 operations, observability frameworks, and cloud-native operational models.

Leadership & Communication

• At least 7 years of IT delivery experience, including 3 years in team or technical leadership roles.
• Strong stakeholder management capabilities with the ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.

Strategic Thinking

• Ability to translate technical decisions into business outcomes.
• Experience shaping long-term modernization strategies and uplifting organizational engineering maturity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, CKA/CKAD, or comparable cloud/DevSecOps credentials.
• Experience in large-scale cloud transformations or setting up enterprise DevSecOps frameworks.
