The Global Payment team of Bytedance provides payment solutions - including payment acquisitions, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, reconciliations, and so on to ensure that our users have a smooth and secure payment experience on ByteDance platforms including TikTok.

About The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and creative Product Design Intern to join us. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge fintech solutions, gaining hands-on experience in user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the usability and visual appeal of digital payment products used by millions of users worldwide, and watch your ambitions become reality as your inspiration brings infinite opportunities at ByteDance.

Successful candidates must be able to commit to the following Internships
- From May to October, 2026 (Full time)
- Assist in designing user-centric experiences for financial payment products, including online payments, financial products, eWallet, and cross-border transactions.
- Support the creation of wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs using Figma.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and competitive analysis to inform design decisions.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other designers to iterate and refine product features.
- Maintain and contribute to the design system, ensuring consistency across different platforms.
- Stay updated on industry trends, design best practices, and emerging technologies in fintech and digital payments.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Final year with a design or design adjacent major (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial)
- A portfolio showcasing your ability to simplify complex problems through intuitive and visually compelling design solutions.
- Strong communication and excellent teamwork skills; flexible and be a self-starter.
- Agile, quick self learner, highly self-motivated with strong sense of product ownership and creative problem solver;
- Good collaborator and team player, comfortable working in a fast moving, culturally diverse and globally distributed team environment.
- Currently pursuing a degree in UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field.
