Job Title: Tester – Banking & Financial Services

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Tester with a strong background in the Banking and Financial Services domain. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in testing banking applications, with solid expertise in Cards, Payments, Merchant Acquiring, Settlement, and related systems. The role requires both manual and automation testing, strong analytical skills, and hands-on experience with industry-standard payment platforms and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support both manual and automation testing across multiple banking applications.
• Prepare comprehensive Test Cases, Test Scenarios, and Traceability Matrices for functional, integration, regression, and system testing.
• Perform Base24, Prime 4, and Settlement Testing, including scheme-mandated validation.
• Conduct payment gateway testing including MPGS, APIs, and transaction simulations.
• Validate end-to-end Cards lifecycle including debit, credit, and prepaid flows.
• Handle testing for Merchant Acquiring, 3D Secure, and Authentication flows.
• Execute test cycles, track defects, and support defect triage using JIRA or similar tools.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation using SQL / PL/SQL.
• Review ISO 8583 transaction messages for correctness and compliance.
• Perform testing and validation for dispute management systems (e.g., VROL, DDRS).
• Prepare test reports, documentation, and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively within Agile/Scrum teams to support continuous delivery.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• More than 3 years testing experience in the Banking Domain.
• Strong knowledge of Cards lifecycle – debit, credit, prepaid.
• Experience with Base24, Prime 4, MPGS, Payment Gateway APIs, and Settlement Engines.
• Understanding of Merchant Acquiring, 3D Secure (3DS), Authentication, and Authorization flows.
• Good understanding of ISO 8583 message formats and scheme-mandated rules.
• Experience with SQL / PL-SQL for data and transaction validation.
• Exposure to dispute systems such as VROL and Mastercard DDRS.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum using tools like JIRA and Confluence.
• Strong documentation, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
