Forte Group is looking for a Senior .NET Engineer, who will join the team responsible for technical design and implementation of a large-scale cloud replatforming initiative, migrating an enterprise .NET-based system from on-premise infrastructure to AWS. You will work hands-on across backend services, infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and observability, helping establish secure, scalable, and repeatable cloud environments.
Technologies and Tools

- Backend: C#, .NET Core / .NET 8+ (modern services), Microsoft .NET Framework, Microsoft IIS, T-SQL, SOAP, REST Web Services, Microsoft AD / AD LDS / (OIDC, Kerberos, LDAP)

- CI/CD: GitHub, Azure Reports, Terraform
- Tools: Microsoft Visual Studio, VS Code, MS Teams, Slack, SharePoint, Playwright, xUnit
Responsibility
- Contribute to architectural design and implementation
- Participate in defining technical patterns and reviewing solutions
- Follow technical patterns and standards for infrastructure, deployment automation, reverse proxying, security, and observability
- Ensure cloud environments are secure, scalable, repeatable, and aligned with Infrastructure-as-Code practices
- Review and validate Terraform modules, CI/CD pipelines, configuration changes, and infrastructure updates
- Support gradual modernization by identifying opportunities for decoupling, service extraction, performance improvements, and technical debt reduction
- Collaborate with DevOps and Cloud Engineering to standardize networking, VM images, environment layouts, and telemetry integration
- Follow best practices across logging, monitoring, alerting, and operational readiness
- Ensure secure and scalable integration with SOAP, REST, and HL7 FHIR services.
Qualifications and Skills
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Deep expertise in C#, ASP.NET / .NET Core / .NET 8+, and AWS
- Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, and cloud-native principles
- Proficiency with SQL Server, T-SQL, REST / SOAP APIs, SignalR, and asynchronous data flows
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions, Terraform)
- Solid understanding of security best practices (SSO, OIDC, RBAC)
- Experience with testing strategies, shift-left approaches, and automation integration
- Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
- Fluent English (Upper-Intermediate or higher)
Nice to have
- Familiarity with HL7 FHIR or similar interoperability standards
- Knowledge of SSAS / OLAP reporting systems
- Exposure to performance testing and observability tools (JMeter, Grafana, App Insights)
- Certification in AWS
