As a Remote Logging Engineer, you will ensure Baker Hughes delivers flawless execution through communicated risk assessments and pre-job planning, active job execution via remote technologies, post job analysis and knowledge sharing. This position is responsible for delivering flawless performance to our customers via the use of technologies that allow job execution from a remote facility (away from the rig site). The Remote Service Delivery Professional is responsible for executing the job in accordance with internal, regulatory, and customer/contract requirements through strict adherence to our Managing the Job Cycle process. The Remote Service Delivery Professional directs communication including details such as: job details, tool performance, and provides real time work instruction to the customer and field professionals stationed at the rig site.

As a Remote Logging Engineer, you will be also responsible for:
- Ensuring compliance using our Manage the Job Cycle (MtJC) process.
- Performing real time execution and direction of rig site activities from remote hub Location in Stavanger.
- Executing the operational plan as per the contract terms and conditions.
- Providing real time logging and monitoring activities and decisions regarding changes to the logging plan and communicating such changes to the customer, rig site personnel, and other stakeholders as required.
- Engaging with the team to determine appropriate actions, relying upon experience, standard principles, concepts and techniques.
- Taking ownership for knowing the operational status of field equipment at the well site.
- Preparing service deliverables in accordance with standard operating procedures, internal management systems or customer agreed procedures.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have some experience of rig site operations offshore and onshore
- Be able to work the required scheduled hours per location (12-hour shifts) on a 14 day on/off rotation
- Have a solid background and knowledge across a broad range of wireline logging, evaluation tools and basic interpretation services.
- Have an analytical approach to problem-solving and be motivated and focused on results.
- Demonstrate knowledge of remote monitoring and experience of communicating technical information
- Be an experienced problem solver, with an analytical approach to identifying root causes and implementing solutions
- Show good IT software proficiency including knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, email and web applications
- Have an aptitude to learn and develop knowledge about digital oilfield and various transmission protocols
- Have good communication skills both verbal and written in English.
