Java Developer - Back End with AWS

SJIT are hiring Software Engineers for a 9 month remote project, working with a leading Global Big Four client.

The project is part of a large AWS migration and experience with AWS and Infrastructure automation is critical. The work includes migration to JDK17, automation of AWS infrastructure creation, removing internal and external dependencies to non-supported services, and demonstrating success by spinning up the services in the new region and passing integration and non-regression tests. (The migration of data is not in scope)

The role will need a mix of experience, the following a key to being successful:

• Java Backend Development
• Infrastructure Automation (CloudFormation, CDK)
• Terraform/DevOps/IaC Automation
• Service infrastructure migration
• Amazon Web Services
• Networking

You'll be working on a JDK upgrade, service migration and IaC Automation, working within a team, updating on progress, blockers etc. The CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform are essential skills and will be tested in the interview process
