Accountabilities:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance backend services and APIs using Node.js for a complex, high-availability platform
- Implement new products, features, and integrations to improve user experience and expand platform capabilities
- Ensure scalability and performance of backend systems to support growing global user traffic
- Apply best practices in security to protect platform integrity and customer data
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, blockchain engineers, and operations, to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Contribute to platform architecture and system design discussions to ensure maintainable and robust solutions
- Strong proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript with proven experience in backend development
- Experience with microservices architecture and designing scalable backend systems
- Solid knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, e.g., MySQL and MongoDB
- Understanding of security principles and secure coding practices
- Experience integrating with blockchain technologies is highly desirable
- Familiarity with high-availability systems and distributed computing concepts
- Knowledge of additional languages such as Ruby, Rust, or C++ is a plus
- Experience with messaging queues, caching, and job queue systems (e.g., Redis)
