Empowering the world starts with living our values and empowering our team. As a quickly growing company focused on helping people live healthier and happier lives, we ensure that our team members have what they need to do their best work — both in and out of the office.
About The Role
Health Intelligence team integrates modern AI with member data to deliver safe, personalized, and motivating health experiences. In this role, you’ll help build and evolve full‑stack tools that support evaluating AI‑powered features at scale, enabling faster learning cycles and higher‑quality user outcomes.
We’re looking for a Full‑Stack Engineer to join our Health Intelligence team and contribute across the stack: building intuitive UIs for evaluation workflows, robust backend services and APIs, and cloud infrastructure that is reliable, observable, and cost‑aware. You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, data, and other engineers to ship pragmatic solutions that improve developer velocity and product quality.
Location: This is an on-site or remote (hybrid) Finland-based role with a preference for candidates who are not fully remote and near our offices in Helsinki, Tampere or Oulu.
What you will do
- Build end‑to‑end features for an evaluation tooling surface: frontend, backend APIs, data models, and cloud workflows.
- Create approachable front‑end experiences to define tests, run experiments, and visualize results.
- Design and maintain backend services that orchestrate evaluations, manage configurations, and expose clear, well‑documented APIs.
- Operate in AWS with production‑grade practices: reliability, monitoring/alerting, security, and cost consciousness.
- Partner with product and content to iterate on contents; translate ambiguous requirements into durable, ergonomic tooling.
- Champion testing best practices (unit, integration, E2E) and CI to keep quality high as the system evolves.
- Collaborate across teams to integrate evaluation workflows into release processes and day‑to‑day development.
- Modern web frameworks (TypeScript + Vue, React or similar), component libraries, state management, and charting/visualization.
- Python for service development; REST/GraphQL APIs; background task orchestration.
- AWS serverless and managed services such as Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, and DynamoDB; infrastructure‑as‑code; observability (logs, metrics, traces).
- Strong habits in automated testing, CI pipelines, code reviews, and secure development.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Solid front‑end experience in TypeScript and a modern framework (e.g. React or Vue) and the ability to design clear, accessible UIs.
- Proficiency in backend development using Python, including designing and operating production APIs.
- Track record of shipping high‑quality software with automated tests (unit, integration, end‑to‑end) and CI.
- Collaborative working style with product, design, and cross‑functional partners; strong written and verbal communication.
- Experience building internal tools with user-friendly UI, that accelerate developer velocity.
- Proficiency in building LLM‑backed or AI‑assisted product experiences, including evaluation or experimentation workflows.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, preferably serverless - e.g., Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, DynamoDB - with attention to reliability, performance, and cost.
- Data visualization experience for developers‑facing tools or dashboards.
- Familiarity with observability stacks and SLO‑driven operations.
