Our People Team is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate People Generalist who will be responsible for managing employee's day-to-day questions, improving processes and documentation and being a part of taking our People Team to the next level.

This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring People Partner to join a collaborative team where you will be able to contribute to wider people strategy and help to drive best practices.

This role reports to the People Director and will work closely with all departments across the organisation.

Please note this role requires you to be in our London Office three days a week. We have a brand new WeWork office right outside Liverpool Street Station.

Role Responsibilities

Operations

  • Own our HRIS (HiBob), including data management, permissions and configuration
  • Oversee the logistics for all new joiners including drafting contracts, adding these to systems and liaising with IT
  • Responsible for the creation of HR documents related to the employee lifecycle (letters, contracts and other employee documentation)
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of policies

Projects that you will work on

  • Support reward and recognition programmes to celebrate and value the contribution, dedication, and hard work of our colleagues, including long service, and recognition for high-performance values and behaviours
  • Develop and utilise a range of engagement and communications channels to promote our workplace experiences and to ensure employees are informed and engaged with company initiatives
  • Create a two-way engagement culture, and gather feedback from team members using focus groups, pulse surveys, interviews and a range of creative engagement and listening methods
  • Build and share insightful reports to drive conversations that lead to the creation and implementation of engagement action plans at group and functional levels
  • Support other People programmes (Values, Levelling, performance management)
  • Contribute to our overall employee engagement including our social calendar across our London and Cambridge offices
  • Support on ensuring employee feedback is both upwards and downwards through regular employee engagement surveys and 1:1s
  • Drive the development of the People Team employee hub on our Intranet
  • Build credibility and trust among staff, while also being an ambassador for our culture and policies
  • In the future, opportunities to take ownership of the onboarding program, including its design, management, and logistics


Requirements

  • 2-4 years of HR experience, preferably within a fast scaling start up
  • You're proactive and independent who has strength in your attention to detail
  • Has a couple of years of experience working in a wider People Team
  • Can manage the business as usual activity with a high level of autonomy
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, problem solving and judgement
  • Action orientated, a doer who biases towards action
  • Ability to identify problems, think pragmatically and offer simple and effective solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion, sound judgement, tact in communications
  • Experience at our current stage and beyond (start up to scale up)
