Senior Automation Engineer (m/f/d)

Our client is an International Financial Institution looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in designing, implementing, and optimising automation solutions for complex, regulated environments. This professional combines advanced technical proficiency with a strong understanding of compliance and security standards required in banking and public sector organisations.

Purpose

We’re looking for a Senior Automation Engineer to design, support, and troubleshoot automation across RedHat and Windows environments. Key technologies include Ansible, Aria Automation/Orchestrator, and Azure DevOps (YAML pipelines). The ideal candidate has strong Ansible experience, RHCSA-level Linux and solid Windows administration skills, is proficient in Python/Bash/PowerShell, and has experience troubleshooting VMware. Strong analytical skills and a customer-first mindset are essential.

Responsibilities

• Improve, update, and troubleshoot Ansible Platform, collection of reusable ansible roles and application teams playbooks independently.
• Design, improve, maintain and troubleshoot automation platforms on Windows and RedHat systems using Aria Automation/Orchestrator, Nutanix, Ansible, and Azure DevOps.
• Resolve failed automation workflows and deployment pipelines in VMWare, Nutanix and Ansible platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for onboarding, development of automations and maintenance aligned with organisational governance and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure adherence to strict compliance frameworks, including data protection, auditability, and operational resilience.
  
  

Skills & Experience

• Expertise in Ansible and infrastructure automation.
• RHCSA-level RedHat Linux knowledge and Windows administration experience.
• Solid experience Azure on DevOps with YAML pipelines.
• Proficient in Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
• VMware & Nutanix virtualization troubleshooting experience.
• Aria Automation/Orchestrator, RedHat Ansible, Azure DevOps YAML pipelines
• RedHat / Windows Server administration
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, stakeholder communication, and documentation skills.
