Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer & Architect (TypeScript) to architect, develop, and

maintain our core internal applications. This role comes with a high level of ownership and direct

impact on our public API, internal services, and operational tools.

You will play a key role in stabilizing our systems, improving our API design, and shaping the

architecture of our backend services as we evolve and scale.

Your Mission

• Architect, design, and maintain backend services powering key Hex-Rays applications.
• Lead the ongoing improvement of our public API and internal tooling ecosystem.
• Stabilize, refactor, and optimize existing systems for performance, reliability, and clarity.
• Own backend projects from design to production deployment.
• Work closely with the team to deliver efficient, smart, business-aware solutions.

What You'll Work On

• You will build and evolve several internal and external-facing applications, including: - Our public
• API powering the Hex-Rays customer portal - Our license manager - Our webshop - Various internal tools and automation workflows

• Node.js (TypeScript)

Required Skills & Experience

• Deep expertise in TypeScript and modern backend development
• Strong experience in API architecture & design
• Proven ability to own and drive backend services end-to-end
• Strong SQL fundamentals (PostgreSQL)
• Experience building scalable, reliable systems

Must-Have Modern Skills

• Demonstrated experience with LLM-assisted coding

Nice to Have

• Kubernetes experience
• CI/CD and DevOps exposure
• Security, observability, and system design knowledge
• Optional: Frontend experience in TypeScript frameworks
• Experience with distributed systems or high-availability environments
