The AI Lab is a new, fast-moving entrepreneurial team focused on accelerating AI adoption across a portfolio of European software product companies. We push the boundaries of what's possible when using generative AI to develop software and enhance existing solutions with AI capabilities.

We build AI proof-of-concepts, reusable accelerators, and best-practice playbooks, helping businesses become self-sufficient in their AI journey.

Role overview

We're looking for a highly motivated AI Engineer who is excited about reimagining how software development will evolve in the coming years.

In this role, you'll build AI workflows, agents, and prototypes that help modernize software products. You'll work hands-on with Python, LLM APIs, and cloud AI platforms such as AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, or Azure Foundry, delivering practical results that guide real adoption.

What you’ll do

• Build AI workflows, agents, and PoCs to validate new ideas and technologies.
• Work with LLMs, vector databases, RAG patterns, evaluation tools, and orchestration frameworks.
• Develop reusable accelerators and templates that can benefit software companies.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams across business units to understand problems and prototype solutions.
• Stay on top of the rapidly changing AI ecosystem and help translate new capabilities into actionable recommendations.
• Contribute to internal AI playbooks, experimentation patterns, and best practices.

What we’re looking for

• 1–3 years of software engineering.
• Good Python skills and ability to quickly learn new libraries and tools.
• Experience using modern AI platforms (AWS Bedrock, SageMaker, Azure Foundry, or equivalent).
• Experience building lightweight backend services with FastAPI or similar frameworks.
• Deep curiosity and passion for generative AI, agentic workflows, and emerging capabilities
• Ability to work independently, manage your own workload, and deliver high-quality prototypes in short time frames.
• Comfortable collaborating with multiple teams, gathering requirements, and communicating findings clearly.
• Proficient with AI-assisted coding tools (Cursor, Codex, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, etc.) and skilled at integrating them into daily development workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLM orchestration frameworks (LangChain, Pydantic AI LlamaIndex, or others).
• Familiarity with prompt engineering, context engineering, evaluation techniques, or vector search.
• Experience developing simple UI layers for demos/accelerators (e.g., AI SDK UI, Streamlit, Gradio, or React for rapid prototyping).
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or MLOps workflows.
• Participation in competitive programming, coding challenges, or mathematics olympiads, and showing strong problem-solving skills and a drive for excellence.
