Job Summary:

We’re looking for a hybrid creative powerhouse — part Product Designer, part Creative Lead —

who can shape the future of the Watermelon platform and elevate the brand across all

touchpoints. This is a high-impact role for someone who loves solving complex UX problems

while also championing bold, beautiful brand expression.

If you’re equally comfortable designing intuitive product flows and guiding a creative team, this

role is built for you.

About the Role:

As the Product Designer & Creative Lead, you will own the UX/UI strategy and design

system across the Watermelon platform, while also providing creative direction for the marketing

team. You’ll be leading the direction, defining standards, designing the most critical parts, and

ensuring coherence across product, brand, and content.

You will collaborate closely with the Creative Director, tech team, and the marketing department

to deliver world-class product design and to raise the creative bar across the company.

What You’ll Do

Product Design Leadership (Primary Responsibility)

● Be responsible for visualizing and designing the UX/UI for the Watermelon platform.

● Lead product discovery, user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and UI design for key

features.

● Maintain, update and grow the scalable design system that supports rapid development.

● Work closely with the tech team to ensure accurate implementation.

● Ensure usability, clarity, and consistency across all product surfaces.

● Translate business goals and user insights into intuitive product experiences.

Creative Direction (Secondary Responsibility)

● Provide visual and creative leadership across all marketing, branding, and

communication touchpoints.

● Oversee the quality and consistency of all design output (graphics, motion, campaigns,

ads).

● Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of designers, motion artists, and

content creators.

● Own visual identity evolution and brand guidelines.

● Approve key creative assets for both Watermelon and client projects.

● Collaborate with the Creative Director on major brand and campaign concepts.

● Contribute to brand strategy, storytelling, pitches, and creative proposals.

● Shape the look and feel of creative campaigns (digital, social, product, ads).

● Ensure that brand expression is consistent across digital and product experiences.

What You’ll Need

● 7+ years of experience in Product Design or UI/UX roles (with a strong portfolio of

apps/platforms).

● Demonstrated skill in brand design, visual identity, and creative direction.

● Strong command of Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite.

● Able to think systematically (design systems, patterns, scalable standards).

● Confident in leading cross-functional discussions with product, tech, and marketing.

● Experience mentoring designers or overseeing creative output.

● Passionate about user-centered design and elegant, modern UI.

● Impeccable taste, attention to detail, and the ability to balance craft with scalability.

● Excellent communicator with strong attention to detail and taste.

Nice to Have

● Experience designing multi-sided marketplaces or SaaS platforms.

● Understanding of motion design principles (execution not required).

● Experience with AI-assisted design workflows.

● Exposure to performance marketing creative or social-first brands.
