NDT TECHNICIAN

Job Summary

We are seeking a Second-Level Network Engineer to succeed Jaffir. The role will be split into two positions to provide fallback support, minimize single-point dependency and build good 2nd Level Network Support Team.

YOUR TASKS

Networking

• Fortinet FortiGate : Firewall configuration, security policies, VPN (IPsec/SSL), DoS protection, DMZ segmentation.
• Cisco Networking: VLANs, Trunking, EtherChannel, Static & Dynamic routing (EIGRP/OSPF), HSRP.
• Network Access Control: Cisco ISE (Dot1x, MAB), endpoint authentication, NAC troubleshooting.
• Cisco Catalyst & Wireless: Cisco Catalyst switches, Cisco/Aeronet Wireless Controllers, SSID–VLAN mapping, wireless troubleshooting.
• Network Security
• Client Security: Windows Defender ATP.
• Network Protection: Web filtering, Antivirus, IPS/IDS, DNS filtering.
• Layer 2 Security: DHCP Snooping, ARP protection, port security concepts.
• VPN & Remote Access
• VPN Technologies: IPsec VPN, SSL VPN.
• Architectures: Understanding of Hub-and-Spoke, DM-VPN, FlexVPN (added advantage).
• Cloud Security: Zscaler ZIA/ZPA – user onboarding and troubleshooting.
• Server & Backup Management
• Servers: Dell Servers, RAID configuration, hardware lifecycle management.
• Windows Server: Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, Failover concepts, windows server patch management.
• Virtualization: Hyper-V – VM deployment, virtual networking, troubleshooting.
• Storage: Synology NAS, WD NAS devices.
• Backup Solutions: Commvault, Acronis.
• Monitoring & Tools
• Wireshark: Packet capture and analysis.
• PRTG: SNMP sensors, alerts, network and system monitoring.
• Telephony & Email
• Avaya IP Telephony: Configuration, User and extension management, call routing, troubleshooting.
• Exchange Email: Troubleshooting, mail flow issues, understanding of common email threats.
• Cloud Technologies – Azure
• Azure Storage Accounts, Virtual Machines, Azure AD.
• Azure Cost Management.
• Containers.
• Azure VPN Gateways, Load Balancers, VNETs.
• Client Support
• End-user troubleshooting: internet connectivity, Outlook issues, hardware & software support.
• Understanding of common endpoint threats and mitigation steps.
• Windows Server patching and workstation patching best practices.
• Networking Devices Used in Environment

Your Qualifications

• Bachelors / Masters degree in Computer, Networking or relevant field
• 8+ years of experience in networking.
  
  

Professional Skills

• Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across different countries and time zones.
• Experience mentoring junior team members and supporting their technical growth.
• Skilled in handling project implementations and managing tasks with minimal downtime.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and deliver results within tight timelines.
• Experience supporting VIP users with high-priority issues and ensuring smooth operations.
• Willing to assist with Level 1 support tasks when required to ensure overall team success.
