Job Purpose


Valvoline has a rewarding opportunity as a Partnerships and Project Management Manager, APAC. This is a hybrid opportunity, 2 days remote per week.


The Associate Partnerships and Project Management Manager, APAC, will drive regional growth and strengthen Valvoline Global’s presence across Asia-Pacific by managing strategic partnerships, brand activations, and cross-functional projects that support business priorities. This role will oversee the development, negotiation, and execution of strategic partnership programs specific to APAC while ensuring the seamless management of regional marketing and business projects.


As a key member of the APAC leadership team, this position will manage internal and external stakeholders to deliver business impact through collaboration, efficiency, and innovation. The role requires a balance of strategic thinking and operational excellence, ensuring that both partnership initiatives and projects are delivered on time, on budget, and in alignment with Valvoline’s global brand and business objectives.


How You Make an Impact (Job Accountabilities)


  1. Lead Partnership Strategy and Execution: Manage all regional partnership and sponsorship activities to support Valvoline’s brand and business goals across APAC. Negotiate and manage contracts, oversee activation plans, and ensure consistent delivery of partnership value through strategic alignment and execution excellence.
  2. Project Management Leadership: Oversee regional strategic projects from initiation through completion. Develop project charters, manage timelines and budgets, coordinate resources, and ensure timely delivery of key initiatives supporting brand, customer, and commercial objectives.
  3. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, sales, digital, operations, and finance teams to align partnership and project strategies with broader business priorities. Facilitate clear communication and accountability across markets to drive operational excellence.
  4. Agency and Vendor Management: Lead relationships with external agencies, vendors, and event partners to ensure deliverables are on time, on budget, and on brand. Define KPIs, monitor performance, and evaluate ROI to continuously optimize partnership effectiveness
  5. Measurement, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement: Develop reporting frameworks to measure partnership and project impact. Provide quarterly and annual updates to the SVP of APAC and global leadership with insights and recommendations.
  6. Budget and Contract Oversight: Manage partnership and project budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility and adherence to financial controls. Oversee contract development, compliance, and renewals across APAC markets.


Primary Interactions - Internal and External


This role will report directly to the SVP of APAC, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Senior Director for Brand Strategy based in Lexington. The incumbent will interact regularly with regional general managers, marketing leads, and functional heads across APAC. Externally, this role will collaborate with agency partners, vendors, and strategic business partners to ensure seamless partnership and project execution. The manager will also represent APAC in global partnership alignment meetings and contribute to the sharing of best practices across markets.


What You Bring to the Role


  • Minimum 6–8 years of experience in partnerships, marketing, or project management roles.
  • Experienced in regional / global roles, working across multiple time zones and diverse cultures.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale projects and strategic partnerships across multiple markets.
  • Experience with contract negotiation, budget management, and stakeholder communications.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification a plus.
  • Cross-cultural experience across APAC strongly preferred.
