Head of Cyber Security Operations (Arabic Speaker) - Up to 40,000 QAR

The organisation is building a unified cyber-defence function that can withstand high-pressure environments, protect sensitive infrastructures, and operate seamlessly across traditional IT and industrial systems. You will be the person who turns this ambition into reality - shaping strategy, guiding operations, and ensuring threats are contained before they become crises.

Strategic Domains You Will Own

A. Defensive Readiness & Live Response

You will be accountable for real-time monitoring, tactical response, and the resilience of the organisation during security events. This includes leading investigations, ensuring follow-through, and steering the response whenever a major incident occurs.

B. Building the Security Nerve Centre

Instead of simply “running a SOC,” you will design how intelligence flows, how incidents move through the organisation, what the operating model looks like, and how the defence landscape scales. You will determine the tools, the architecture, the roles, and the automation pathways.

C. Protecting Industrial & Critical Environments

You will ensure industrial, operational and control systems are monitored, segmented, and protected in ways suitable for their sensitivity, including ICS/SCADA and connected operational technologies.

D. Governance, Assurance & Executive Communication

You’ll oversee internal standards, compliance checks, audit readiness, and security policy evolution. You will present insights, risk positions, and post-incident reviews to senior leaders and external stakeholders.

E. Technology Stewardship & Vendor Ecosystem

From selecting platforms to evaluating partners, you will decide which technologies stay, which evolve, and which integrations matter. You will lead procurement cycles, performance reviews, and capability evaluations.

F. Leadership & Workforce Development

You will construct a security operations team that understands its purpose, knows its responsibilities, and is prepared for high-stakes environments. Coaching, mentoring, role clarity and capability uplift all sit with you.

Required Experience

• Minimum 10 years in cyber roles with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity involving monitoring, detection, response, or operational security management.
• Strong background handling major incidents and coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Arabic speaking is essential for this role.

Knowledge & Technical Depth

Candidates should understand:

• How detection platforms are engineered and tuned (SIEM, SOAR, EDR, network sensors).
• How industrial networks function and what securing them requires.
• How to architect and evolve an operations model.
• Risk, compliance, and international security standards.

Preferred Certifications (Must have one of)

Any of the following demonstrate the expected level of seniority:

CISSP, CISM, CRISC, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Lead Auditor.
